Gabriel is a Colombian - American documentary filmmaker, highly interested in socio-political issues and exploring the effects they have on vulnerable populations. He has a B.F.A in Film from the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University, and currently works in the camera and post production department for documentary production companies and filmmakers

"I was born in a foreign country: literally in the sense that I am from Colombia, and figuratively, in the sense that I always felt like a foreigner. This ambivalence about my own home is intimately connected with the themes I look for in a story to document and tell. These stories that I gravitate towards are those about people who are engaged in some type of personal or collective struggle over the meaning of their home, and their fight against the capitalist entities that attempt to reshape it for their own benefit."
